Epub to Mobi conversion strange word breaks

Hello all,

This is my first query so please be patient. I created a Epub in Apple Pages and converted it in Calibre as a .mobi for the Kindle. When I open the .mobi on a Kindle the words are breaking not at the end but in the random places and going on to the next line. An example would be like this using my first sentence:

I would expect for the word pages to continue on the next line rather than break at the g. I hope this makes sense. When I view the document in my Pages program there is a small blue dot after each word.

I hope someone can tell me where I have gone wrong.
