Changing Covers on DRMed books

For the most part I have no problem doing this but for some Avon/HarperCollins books, it doesn't seem to work. I change the metadata and send it to device but the cover is still the original non-cover. Like this

Is there any way to do this so that the actual cover I want shows up?
