Hello!
What have Chrome, Opera, Android 4 and some PicViewers
what other Apps have not?
Googles WebP-Support...
Short about WebP (called "weppy")...
Open Source & free 4 all..
Combine good things of JPEG, PNG and TIFF in one Format
highly compressed, support layers, alphas, lossy or lossless
but it have no bundle yet...
okay i could use ePUB or CBZ....
and switch the jpeg to webp
the both browser (chrome and opera) support it
if the packet is extracted.... no problem
but the viewer in calibre.. not
decode and encoding libs are free accessable via web
android 4 does it native..
up to 10 times smaller epubs/htmlz
(more is possible with LMZA2(7z)) -> html7)
power save decoding of image rich e-books (comics, mags)
sourcecodes u find here
