Hey all,
I was loading a book onto Calibre and I noticed that instead of Cover Art it simply had a B&W picture. While I was editing the MetaData I clicked on the "DOWNLOAD COVER" button and the correct cover came up from Amazon so I selected it. Back at the main screen the new cover appeared in the box to the right and I thought things were Ok and that the new cover had replaced the B&W pic it had originally. I went into the "VIEW" section to see if the book was laid out properly and that there were no problems with the text. The first thing that came up in the VIEW section was that same B&W picture. I scrolled down and the cover I selected to replace the B&W pic never appeared. Have no clue where it is. The has happened before and when I load it onto my Kindle Fire I won't see the correct cover art, the B&W pic will be what is displayed for this book.
Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but this pic that comes up has NO INFO on it at all that would identify what book it is. So I can't have just this B&W Pic for this book on my Fire.
Can someone tell me how to actually get the NEW cover art to show up like it is supposed to? Also is there a way to delete the B&W pic that is being used now?
This is a MOBI file by the way, it hasn't been converted or messed with at all until I tried to change the cover art.
This happens more often to me with PDF files. I do the same thing as above and the new cover art will show up in the right hand view, but when I open it to view it the same this happens, the OLD cover art shows up. The only way I could fix that the last time was to use a program that allowed editing of PDF files. It's awfully aggravating to go through all that when the program should take care of it on it's own.
PLEASE tell me how to fix this.
ALSO, in the next version how about adding in a feature where you can mark or somehow ID the books that you have already read.
Thanks for your help.
