Won't convert RTF to Mobi

I'm not very good technically but have had no problem using Calibre previously. However when I try to convert books now I get this option:

"Could not upload the following books as no suitable formats were found. Convert the books to a format supported by your device first.

I then click 'okay' and it comes up as 'failed'.

Any help would be appreciated?
