Portable Calibre Server on Windows 7 Problem

I can use Portable Calibre on my Win7-64 at both home and work. The program runs and works fine adding and managing books. As admin, I granted Calibre both local net and internet access, and permission to act as a server.

My problem is that when I connect Stanza via "get books," it can detect that the server is up, but times out trying to get a list of books, even if I set things up so that there's only one book in the library.

Any troubleshooting help appreciated. Thank you.
